Talk to people nearby when the cell network is down
Storms, outages, and packed events can knock out cell service. TalkGroup does not need it. Nearby iPhones connect directly, so your group can still talk.

Phone to phone, no network
TalkGroup sends your voice straight from your iPhone to the phones in your group, over a direct connection. No towers, no internet, no servers. If the network goes down, the group keeps working as long as you are close to each other.
- No cell service or internet needed.
- Push-to-talk. Hold the button, speak, let go.
- Quick signals. One tap sends a short message, with your location if you choose.
Be realistic
TalkGroup is for casual use. Do not rely on it in an emergency. It only reaches phones that are close by, and it cannot call emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number, even with no signal your phone may still be able to reach it.
That said, it is pretty handy for keeping your household or your neighbors in touch nearby when the network is down.

Yes, as long as your phones have battery. It does not use the internet or cell towers.
