Talk to your friends at a concert, even when your texts won't send
When fifty thousand phones share one cell tower, messages stall. TalkGroup connects your group's phones directly, so you can hold a button and talk in each other's AirPods over the music.
TalkGroup is coming soon to the App Store.
Built for loud places
At a show you can't hear your friend standing next to you, and a text can take ten minutes to arrive. TalkGroup fixes both. Put in your AirPods with noise cancellation on, hold the button, and your group hears you clearly, even with the music loud.
- No cell service needed. Phones talk to each other directly, so a jammed network does not matter.
- Find each other. Send Meet here to share where you are with your group, then follow the arrow on the Find screen.
- Quick signals. One tap sends On my way, Meet here, and more, for when talking out loud is too much.
- Venue mode. A dark, dim screen so your phone is not a flashlight in the crowd.
- Battery saver. Lets your phone lock and checks less often, to help your battery last the night.
Tips for the show
- Make your group before you go in, while everyone is together. Joining only takes a tap.
- Keep noise cancellation on. Your friends' voices come through clearly, and you protect your hearing.
- Stay in the same area. Phones talk directly, so the group works best within the same part of the venue. Crowds shorten the range.
- Agree on a meeting point anyway, in case someone's battery dies.
Questions
Will it work if the cell network is jammed?
Yes. TalkGroup does not use the cell network. Your group's phones connect directly to each other.
Can I hear my friends over the music?
That is what it is built for. With AirPods that have noise cancellation, the crowd fades and your friends' voices come through.
How many friends can be in a group?
Up to 8 phones per group.
Do I have to keep the app open?
No. TalkGroup is built to keep your group going with the screen locked and your phone in your pocket.
