Talk to your friends across a loud club
Someone's at the bar, someone's on the dance floor, someone's in the bathroom line. TalkGroup lets your group hold a button and talk in each other's AirPods over the music.
TalkGroup is coming soon to the App Store.
Over the music
In a club you can't hear the person next to you, and nobody reads a text on the dance floor. With TalkGroup, put in your AirPods with noise cancellation on, hold the button, and your group hears you.
- Short hops. The bar, the booth, the dance floor, the smoking area by the door. TalkGroup is made for friends in the same place.
- No cell service needed. Phones talk to each other directly, so a basement club with no bars still works.
- Quick signals. One tap sends On my way, Leaving now, and more, with a buzz your friends can feel.
- Whisper. Talk to just one friend without the whole group hearing.
- Venue mode. A dark, dim screen so your phone is not a flashlight on the dance floor.
Tips for the night
- Make your group before you go in, while everyone is together. Joining only takes a tap.
- Stay within about 50 feet (15 meters) of each other. Crowds and walls shorten the range.
- If the venue has its own Wi-Fi and you are all on it, you can talk anywhere that network reaches.
- Agree on a meeting point anyway, in case someone's battery dies.
Questions
Will my friends hear me over the music?
With AirPods that have noise cancellation, yes. That is what TalkGroup is built for.
Does it work in a basement with no signal?
Yes. TalkGroup does not use the cell network. Your group's phones connect directly to each other.
How far apart can we be?
About 50 feet (15 meters), like the bar and the dance floor of the same room. On the same Wi-Fi network, you can talk anywhere that network reaches.
Do I have to keep the app open?
No. TalkGroup keeps your group going with the screen locked and your phone in your pocket.
