Talk to your group on the slopes, with no signal on the mountain
Skip the gloves-off texting on the chairlift. TalkGroup lets your ski group talk push-to-talk through AirPods, phone to phone, with no cell service needed.
TalkGroup is coming soon to the App Store.
On the lift and on the run
Mountains are full of dead zones. TalkGroup does not need them to have coverage. Your group's iPhones connect directly to each other, so you can call out the next run, the lift line, or lunch with one press.
- No cell service needed. Phones talk directly to each other.
- Hands mostly free. Built to keep going with your phone locked in your pocket.
- Quick signals. One tap sends On my way or Meet here, with your location if you choose.
- No accounts. Friends join by tapping phones or scanning a QR code at the base.
Tips for the mountain
- Make the group at the base while you are together.
- Phones talk directly, so the group works best when you ride together. Friends on the chair behind are fine. Friends on the other side of the mountain are out of range.
- Cold drains batteries fast. Keep your phone in an inside pocket and turn on Battery saver.
- Keep one ear aware of your surroundings. Transparency mode on AirPods helps on busy runs.
Questions
Does it work on the chairlift?
Yes, as long as your group's phones are close enough to reach each other, like a few chairs apart.
Do I need cell service on the mountain?
No. TalkGroup never uses the cell network.
Can I use it with my helmet on?
If your AirPods fit under your helmet, yes. Hold the button on screen to talk.
