TalkGroup Cookie Policy
The short version
The TalkGroup website does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and it does not load anything from other companies. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to say yes or no to.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. Websites can also save information in similar ways, such as "local storage". This page covers all of them.
What this website stores
- Nothing on public pages. The home page, the guides, and the support, privacy, and terms pages do not set cookies or save anything in your browser.
- The private admin page. The page we use to read the launch list keeps our passphrase in the browser's session storage until the tab is closed. Only we use that page.
- Security cookies from our host. The site is hosted by Cloudflare. If Cloudflare's protection thinks traffic might be an attack, it can set a short-lived cookie (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) that proves you are a person. These are strictly necessary for security, are not used to track you, and do not need consent.
The launch list form
Joining the launch list does not set a cookie. What you type is sent once to our list, as described in the Privacy Policy.
What we do not use
No Google Analytics or other analytics, no advertising or social media pixels, no embedded videos or maps, and no fonts or scripts from other companies. The website's security settings block content from other websites.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. The site works without them.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before setting it.
